The Ivan and Marie Boggs, Dewey Memorial Cemetery
By: Joanna Adams Sergent
While visiting with my mother, Katie Adams, in Kentucky we decided to go to the Ivan and Marie Boggs, Dewey Memorial Cemetery with my Aunt Carolyn Ellison to place flowers on my Grandfather’s tombstone.
This cemetery is a special place for me, as not only my grandfather, Lloyd D. Addington is buried there but also his brother James. E. (Ervin) Addington and a few of their children. Lloyd’s daughter Wilma Jean Addington Hampton and James’ son and daughter James R. (Robert) Addington and Helen (Jackie) Addington Crabtree.
My grandfather Lloyd was known to all his friends and co-workers in the mining industry as “Diddy Drop” because he had so many children eleven in all.
Lloyd and James were the sons of McClellan (Clell) Addington and Febia Fleming Addington the sister of Cal and Henan Fleming.
Directions to the Cemetery:
