Born December 11, 1900, in Bluefield, West Virginia. Died June 30, 1971, in Pikeville, Kentucky. Married William Mitchell (Chub) Adams April 17, 1917, in Norton, Virginia.
She is buried on Number 2 Hill in Burdine, Kentucky
She is a third generation American and the daughter of Isacc Newton Fields and Alice Stutts parents

Went to work for Consol and wrote Script at the Number 3 Store in Gaskill, (Number 3 Jenkins, Kentucky). She went to work there after the death of William (Chub). During World War II she worked in the cafeteria at Glenn L Martin in Baltimore Md.
The dress she is wearing cost around $100.00 which in today’s market would be worth approximately $1,255.54.
I have attended the University of Kentucky. I have an Associates Degree from Hazard Community College and Technical School. I have also attended the University of Pikeville. I have taken several classes in Journalism as well as in the Appalachian History, Literature, and Sociology during my time at those schools.
I was born in Florida and grew up in Burdine, Kentucky. I have been married to David W. Sergent since May 4, 2013. I have two children and four grandchildren from a previous marriage. I currently live in Tennessee but my hope is to one day come back home to live in the beautiful mountains once more.
